![]() ![]() So I gather that once you have drawn the rectangle around your viewing area, it just details your specified crop area, letting you know what size you set, and therefore, export. It initially reads 1600 x1200, if you put in specifications of 800 x 600 at this point, it crops to the lower left-hand corner. Once you click on the crop icon, you see a “Canvas” spec that you can change. ![]() ![]() However the cropping rectangle disappears when you have zoomed, so that you have to zoom out in order to retrieve them, bring them in close to your main presentation, THEN zoom out again in order to be able to crop to the right size. There is no “view actual size” or hint that “zoom to 100%” will get you to your captured setting size, so your hint to “Command-Option-0”, THEN crop was very helpful. I gather that SF opens up in, effect, a “Zoom Out” mode (Preview), allowing you to utilize the Crop function. The confusion arises in knowing what steps to take next in your workflow to get the desired output in export - in this case an 800 x 600 QuickTime file. No matter what, there is always a compressed version of the presentation inside a large black frame in your export. This is the same with a KN slide size set to 1024x768 and you export at 50% or set a custom to 800圆00. This is the same whether you are exporting at 100%, or setting a Custom size. If you export at this point, the presentation area is compressed, and there is a large black “frame” area around it. When you first record a KN presentation, in this case KN set to 800圆00 slide size, SF opens up in what you are calling “Preview”. Kyn, your clues have helped me explore what’s going on a bit more, and I think the lack of definition and explanation by Vara is contributing to the confusion. ![]()
